Dropbox users would no longer need to log out of their business accounts to switch to their personal Dropbox accounts once an update was released next month. The planned account-switching features would work across all devices that supported Dropbox including iOS, Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry and Kindle.
The update was to be launched on April 9, reported The Verge. Users would no longer have to run multiple browsers to access files in their individual and professional accounts.
Dropbox has more than 4 million registered businesses, 200 million personal users and was worth US$8 million.
The company acquired a further US$350 million last month for software development to compete with the likes of Google Drive, which dropped its price to US$2 for 100GB, and enterprise competitor Box.
