Can copy charts to documents for the first time.
Google has released new types of charts for Google Spreadsheet, the spreadsheet program in the Google Apps cloud productivity suite. The additions included candlestick charts; combo charts that showed columns, lines and area lines in one graph; GeoMap charts that inserted a “data-driven” map into a spreadsheet; and a TreeMap chart for statisticians and logicians.
The update also contained a feature that for the first time let users copy charts from Spreadsheet to documents and drawings. Copied charts were snapshots of the chart at the time it was copied, and would not update themselves as data was updated in the original spreadsheet.
Google has built help directly into Spreadsheet for formulas. When a user started typing a formula into a cell Spreadsheet showed a list of functions with a description that explained the function, it’s syntax and how it’s used.
The auto-suggest help box recognised nested functions and contained links to related content and a list to the complete list of over 300 functions.
