Mobile job management app GeoOp has had a tough month with users unable to login intermittently for about two weeks due to technical issues. GeoOp CEO Leanne Graham told BoxFreeIT that the problems were with the hardware hosting the application rather than issues with scalability.
“In the past couple of weeks we unfortunately experienced some intermittent issues that impacted some of our customers. A minimal number of clients were affected,” Graham said.
“While we are disappointed, this does happen in a growth phase – the key thing is not to repeat it,” Graham added.
A GeoOp partner said it had received many support calls for about two weeks from many of its GeoOp users. Complaints included duplication of jobs as well as being unable to log in, the partner said.
Despite the problems the partner said he was confident GeoOp would resolve the issues. “All the software guys have dramas on occasions. We’re as confident as we can be that they are going to get on top of it,” the partner said.
GeoOp was prepared to work with customers who wanted compensation “on a case by case basis”, Graham said.
