Cloud accounting program Saasu has expanded the ability to attach documents to journal entries, as well as sales and purchases. Users could store documents, photos receipts and other collateral related to the entry in Saasu.
“Attachments on employee records are just around the corner,” said Saasu on its company blog.
Initially restricted to photos of receipts for expenses, online document storage was being gradually adopted by accounting programs. File storage Xero recently improved its ability to store files too with the launch of Xero Files.
“YES! Now I can attach the auditor’s letter against the end-of-year corrections they invariably provide. It is no fun trying to decode a General Journal from a few years ago without the original letter,” commented “Scott” on the Saasu blog.
“Very excited about this new ability, it makes the program audit proof when it comes to tracking every transaction,” wrote “Rochelle”, another commenter.
Saasu also added tabbed browsing for some sections of the program. Users could right click on a link in Saasu and open it in a new tab.
Tabbed browsing worked in the sales, purchases, items, payments, journals companies, contact groups and activities lists, as well as several reports. A full list was posted on the blog.
