Cloud accounting company Xero has updated its Xero Touch mobile app with bank reconciliation on the iPhone and iPad.
Bank reconciliation on Xero Touch worked in a similar way to in the desktop browser program. The program automatically suggested matching transactions, supported transfers and allowed notes to be attached to statement lines. Xero claimed the feature was a world first.
Users could already view account balances, send invoices and create expense claims by taking photos of receipts.
“For many small business owners, checking bank accounts is the first thing they do in the morning. By reconciling bank data over coffee, at the bus stop, or on the train small businesses take advantage of downtime and can arrive at the office up-to-date on their accounts and cashflow,” said Xero mobile product manager Matt Vickers in a press release.
Bank reconciliation on Android mobile phones and tablets was launched two weeks earlier.
The updated Xero Touch app was available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play app store.
