MYOB has expanded its online business portal from new proprietary company registrations to self-managed super funds (SMSFs) and constitution registrations.
The move put MYOB CompanyDocs up against Thomson Reuters’ Clear Docs, Top Docs and BMR Corporate Solutions who all provide similar online document services.
MYOB CompanyDocs charges $576 for each proprietary company registration; $132 for each SMSF registration and $88 for each constitution registration (incl GST and ASIC fee).
At time of launch MYOB is cheaper for company registrations than TopDocs (from $600), BMR ($581.50) and ClearDocs ($594.50).
MYOB’s portal uses an online wizard to guide accountants through the process of creating a new document. The application is lodged with ASIC via the portal and takes about 20 minutes, the company said in a press release.
The legal documentation is sent to the accountant’s client on the same business day. A dashboard shows a history of documents created and a summary of transactions and the status of applications.
MYOB is using Sparke Helmore Lawyers to create the documents for its portal.
“MYOB CompanyDocs (provides) effective data capture, high quality documentation and a streamlined process to deliver quickly and efficiently at a competitive price,” said Adam Ferguson, general manager, accountants division, in the release.
Accounting firms signed up to the MYOB Connected program receive a free three-month MYOB Essentials – Accounting subscription valued at $87 for each new client registering a proprietary company.
