Popular cloud inventory program Unleashed released a major update today which added new features such as supplier returns, the ability to change product codes and clone products.
Any non-costed purchase order could be returned with a supplier return through the Purchase menu. The return price and quantity could be set in the return, which included options to keep goods rather than send them back and to select a reason for the returning products.
Once saved the supplier return updated stock levels and could send the supplier credit through to the cloud accounting program Xero.
All product codes in the new release could be changed in the case of mistakes during entry or suppliers changing codes. Unleashed could change a single code or import a template file to change batches of codes.
Warehouse location and tax rates could be changed in an invoice after products had been added but before the invoice was completed. “This will be especially helpful for those using e-commerce integrations who want to dispatch stock from other warehouses other than their default (which is where it gets imported into),” according to the release notes.
Unleashed users could also clone products to copy details to a new product.
Search had also been improved with barcodes for products automatically completing on sales invoices and purchase orders. “This should allow speedier entry of invoices and purchases especially when using a barcode scanner,” Unleashed claimed.
Other enhancements included priced packing slips, the ability to give 50-day payment terms and optional fields for customer code and tax number in the invoice designer.
Unleashed won Xero’s NZ partner of the year at the accounting software company’s February conference in Wellington, New Zealand.
