Move, open files in SkyDrive, DropBox and Box.
Australian Office 365 integrator HubOne has released an app that lets users move and open files in several cloud storage programs from within the Windows 8 interface. “I wanted to bring together cloud and Windows 8 and realised that there was no application that allowed you to manage local files, SkyDrive, DropBox and Box from a single place,” said Nick Beaugeard, HubOne CEO.
The All My Storage app includes a file explorer for navigating local and cloud storage accounts with Microsoft SkyDrive, DropBox and Box and can be used on a PC, laptop and tablet. Users could link as many cloud storage accounts as required and copy files and folders between them. A media player could play local and streaming media files on DropBox.
All My Storage came in two versions; an advertising-supported free app and the ad-free All My Storage Pro, which cost $2.99 and included additional features such as statistics on cloud storage capacity. All My Storage had been downloaded by 10,600 users during the Windows 8 Consumer preview.
All My Storage worked on devices running the latest Windows 8 operating system, released today, and on devices with x86, x64 and ARM processors. Minimum requirements were a 1GHz processor and 4GB of RAM.
